Just checked the docket for now-convicted human-trafficker Keith Graves on the federal PACER system. The only new item since my last update is a forfeiture order. I don’t see indications that he has filed an appeal.

The indictment alleged that a variety of electronic equipment plus a miniature baseball bat plus a toy BB gun were involved in the crimes he committed (alleged is no longer an appropriate word because he has been convicted at trial).

I didn’t read the order but assume that since the forfeiture allegation is not contested, all the items will now belong to the federal government.

If he files an appeal, as he indicated he would do, it will go to the 8th circuit Court of Appeals. I looked at the PACER system for the 8th Circuit and could not find anything that he has filed. Perhaps I don’t quite know how to work the system or perhaps he has not filed yet. Perhaps the timeline for filing does not start until sentencing.

Sentencing is still set for February 17, 2016.
