Not much news that I’ve noticed. Things are still happening though. Two articles:
5-23 – Wall Street Journal – Suicide Bombings in Niger Linked to Mali Islamist Group
Two separate attacks 200+ miles inside Niger killed 20. Speculation is the killers were from Islamist guerillas from Mali. That conclusion is supported by claims of responsibility by a group that had been occupying northern Mali prior to the French intervention.
5-24 – Wall Street Journal – Militants, Chased From Mali, Pose New Threats
Speculation is the terrorists chased out of Mali by the French have establish a new base of operations in southwest Libya.
The group behind the bombings yesterday is apparently the same group that took over Algerian gas plant back in January.
