Think I’ll start accumulating predictions for the highest point of oil production in North Dakota now that the state has passed 1,000,000 barrels per day.
In a feature article, N.D. oil production hits 1 million barrels per day, Amy Dalrymple, provides two estimates:
Helms … said he anticipates North Dakota oil production will continue growing through the end of 2017, when it will plateau around 1.5 million barrels per day.
Hamm projects North Dakota will peak at 2 million barrels per day in 2020.
Here’s the first two data points:
- 6/14 – Helms – 2017 – 1.5M bopd – Director of Mineral Resources Lynn Helms
- several months before 6/14 – Hamm – 2020 – 2.0M bopd – Harold Hamm, CEO of Oklahoma-based Continental Resources
