Having fun or stuck on stupid?

The rules have changed.  Tons of rules that applied to work, careers, running a business, and marketing have changed.

The whole point of this blog is to grapple with that idea.

Seth Godin has a great comment in Tribes that is on point. I will quote the full comment:

Stuck on Stupid

My colleague Gil likes to quote US Army Lieut. Gen. Russel Honore, pointing out that too many people get “stuck on stupid.”

I’m imagining that your colleagues aren’t stupid.  But when the world changes, the rules change.  And if you insist on playing today’s games by yesterday’s rules, you’re stuck.  Stuck with a stupid strategy.  Because the world changed.

Some organizations are stuck.  Others move quickly.  In a changing world is having more fun?

A few questions.

Are you stuck on stupid? Are you having fun?

How can you tell the difference?

How do you move to the ‘having fun’ category?

As for me, I’ve been in the fun category for a while.  It’s a blast.  Please join me.
