That’s the conclusion after reading Eagle Ford Shale’s post Eagle Ford Oil Production Growing Twice As Fast As Thought – Bentek.
RBN Energy reviews their forecast from the distant past, specifically two years ago. They find:
What was predicted as production for 2016 in 2011 has already been eclipsed! In 2011, Bentek expected Eagle Ford oil production would eclipse 800,000 b/d sometime in 2016.
Eagle Ford Shale reports the production in that field passed the 800,000 sometime at the end of 2012. Current forecast is 1.4M bopd by 2016.
Five years of production gains were achieved in about two years. In other words, it’s already 2016.
